My Little Turkey

Malin is crazy. She doesn't stop all day. One of her favorite things to do is to play with the computer. If we leave the chair un-tucked from the table she is up it in 2 seconds flat. She completely ignores us when we are screaming at her to get down.

Ive come into the room with her dancing on top of the table!

Malins been a little sick lately. She got her shots, getting her 2 top molars, and had baby measles. SO she has been doing a lot of lounging around.

She was being particularly cranky one day, so I tucked her in really good.

Went on facebook for a few minutes and came back to this!!!

Little cutie!! She was so tiered. I did love having a nap with her though, made it feel like she was a baby again.

Our kitchen is TINY! So we don't have a table. We keep her highchair in her room and its much to hard to drag out, so she never eats in it. Our couches wouldn't fit down the stairs so we have no furniture. Our bed is in the living room on the floor because our box spring wouldn't fit down the stairs. This results in crumbs in our bed every night!! Malin lives off of peanut butter and honey sandwiches.

Malin was helping me clean out the pantry. When ever I catch her doing something she thinks she shouldn't be doing she runs in the opposite direction as fast as she can. Chased her into a corner!! haha

I then found her like this watching some cartoons.

I love my little Turkey. She keeps me busy and entertained all day long!!!

MICE!!

I HATE mice! Growing up we had lots of mice in our house so I did learn to tolerate them, but I still hate them. Couple days ago I was sure I heard mice chewing in the wall. They always stopped when Josh came to listen so he thought I was paranoid. Then the next day, there we are sitting in our bed watching t.v. (we don't have a couch) and there's this little mouse just sitting there staring at me! I scream at Josh that there's a mouse and it runs behind the dresser. So Josh starts poking around and he doesn't come out so Josh asks " You SURE you saw a mouse?" As if he thinks I'm blind as well as deaf! Then the mouse is RIGHT behind Josh. We quickly go get a empty cream puff bucket. It tries to run out of the living room but Josh blocked his path, and I was behind him. He decided to still try to go down the hall. Josh literally dives across the floor and traps him! THEN the only thing we could think of to slide under the bucket was my sewing cutting board (yuck). We then kindly chucked him a few houses away in the freezing cold hoping he would freeze to death. We bought traps the next day, and caught 2 more the very next day!!!!! AHHHHH!! Our mattress is on the floor because our box spring wouldn't fit down the stairs. So we are sleeping on the floor basically with mice running around our house, I have a hard time sleeping. I'm thinking there aren't too many more of them, cause I haven't seen or heard any today. Here's hoping!!!

Here are some cute pictures Of Malin because that's a happy thing.

1 Crazy 1 Year old

(Catch Up)
Malin turned 1 on July 8, 2011. CRAZY! I have a one year old, it is so weird to think of, because it doesn't seem like me and Josh have been married for that long, and not long enough to have a 1 year old, but here she is!
We didn't really do much for her birthday. Since We were living at Josh's parents house we didn't feel like we could throw a big party, since we didn't really have anywhere to throw one. We had a small get together which each side of our families at our parents house. It was super fun, we had cake, and had a good time. From us she got a Tinkerbell foam couch, that she sits on almost everyday now haha.
Malin is so crazy and we love her. It is weird to think what life use to be like. Probably pretty boring, Malin does a good job of keeping me entertained all day long. We love her and what shes added to this family.

Night Night

One thing about Malin that I LOVE! Is that she loves to go to bed. She takes 2 naps a day still, each nap being an hour and half to two hours. And goes to bed at 7, waking up around 7 or 7:30. Its great!! One time she was running to her crib and I said "hey, you have to go give daddy a kiss." She stops, hangs her head, starts crying, then walks over to Josh to give him a kiss. As soon as she's given him a kiss she ran for her crib!! haha. When ever she's playing with toys, and I ask her if she wants to go night night, she immediately drops what ever is in her hand and books it to her room.
Only thing bad about this, is when she wants to go to bed, she wants to go to bed, and there better be somewhere she can lie down. I've been in situations where I've been out, and just haven't been able to get her down on time. Its so sad, she'll just cry and keep saying nigh nigh.
Hopefully all my kids love to sleep this much!!!

Heres a cute video of Malin running to her room to go to bed.

Catch Up

As most of you have noticed, I kinda took the Summer off from blogging. Every summer I get SO excited. A whole summer of relaxations, sitting in the sun, and doing what ever you feel like. NOT! Summer is no time for relaxation. I think there was maybe 3 Saturdays we didn't have to get up early, go somewhere for the day, or just have way to much to do. So with that being said, blogging was not at the top of my to do list, napping was though haha. So hopefully over the next month I can catch you up on 6 months of our life.
At the end of April, we decided we needed to move. We loved our little basement suit. But the fact was we took it out of desperation. We found out 3 weeks before Josh started class that he was accepted, and had 4 days to find a place. The basement suit was the last place we looked at. Yes it was the right size, loved the kitchen, (it had a dishwasher!!!!!!!) and was a place that didn't make me want to run from, and felt I could actually let Malin play on the floor with out fear of her getting some disease. BUT it was very far from NAIT, and above our budget. These we sacrificed because we needed a place ASAP and didn't have much choice. But since we weren't going to be receiving mat leave anymore, we just couldn't afford it, and living closer would be a plus for Josh, not having to take an hour plus bus ride. SO, we decided to move in to Josh's parents house for the summer to save money.
We actually moved into the cabin in the backyard. It was extremely tiny. We fit our bed some couches and a TV in there some how. There were 2 little hallways to get to where we needed to be. There was a loft upstairs where Malin and our clothes were. We had a tiny fridge and a microwave. And I LOVED it. I love Josh's family, and get along good with them. But going from living on your own, to with another family is not the easiest thing. So it was really nice, to have our own little space we could escape too. We were in the house most of the time, but I tried to keep Malin on a normal schedule, so she took her naps, and slept out in the cabin. We also slept in the cabin if that wasn't all ready implied.
It was SOO much fun being there for the summer, and spending time with family. We cant wait till we are back there in May.
Here's some pictures of Malin at our old basement suit, its neat to see how different she was when we were in Edmonton till now.

Malins FIRST pony's!! She's such a goof ball.

After Math of Ponys haha.
